Hazgreen provides the leading fire extinguisher sorting and dismantling service in Sydney, NSW. Used and expired extinguishers arrive at our EPA-licensed Western Sydney facility, where they are methodically sorted into their component materials, including metal bodies, valves, hoses, powder contents, and gas, and routed to the appropriate certified recycling streams.
Disused and expired fire extinguishers are increasing exponentially as businesses transition to replacing devices rather than refilling and retesting. Without a proper recycling pathway, these devices end up in landfill. Our purpose-built, custom disassembling equipment provides NSW with an environmentally viable alternative.
We are actively partnering with industry leaders to develop new recycling processes for ABE powder from fire extinguishers, because we believe every waste stream has untapped value in the circular economy.
